Salt-Free Is Not the Same as Sulfate-Free
“Salt-free” means a formula made without added sodium chloride (table salt), which some shampoos use as a thickener. “Sulfate-free” means a formula made without sulfate cleansing agents such as sodium lauryl sulfate. They are different things, and one does not imply the other.
